What is pan card?
PAN refers to the Permanent Account Number. PAN number is comprised of 10-digit alphanumeric number issued by Income tax department to everyone who applies for PAN card. PAN number is unique to every PAN card holder. It also serves as an identity proof. Once PAN card is issued, it remains valid for the entire life of the PAN card holder.

Who can apply for pan card?
All existing assessees or taxpayers or persons who are required to file a return of income, even on behalf of others, must have a PAN. Any person, who intends to enter into economic or financial transactions where quoting PAN is mandatory, must also have a PAN.
And yes, a Nepali specially working in India needs pan card and they can make it easily.

How to make pan Card?

There are lots of Pan card agents around the city. Submit your identity proof and local resident proof.You may need appoint letter from company in local address. Bank passbook at local level may work in some cases. Local resident proof can be your rental agreement or document from a registered firm of India.

Aadhar Card

What is aadhar card?
Aadhar card is a Indian government scheme to to clean out duplicates and fakes, to provide accurate data and enable implementation of direct benefit programmes. Use of Aadhaar reduces the costs of identifying persons and provides Increased transparency to the government in implementation of its schemes.

  1. I am a Nepali passport holder, Doctor,having Indian aadhar card, married to an Indian Doctor,(having marriage certificate from India),who has Indian passport, aadhar card, PAN card, regulary income tax payee since more than 10 yrs.
    as I would be living in India and working, hence need an Bank account in India, For opening bank account, banks insists PAN card and for applying PAN card they need bank account details,
    which is like an egg or Hen situation,
    looks ambiguous, can you help please.

  2. I am a Nepalese citizen 70 yrs old.I opened my account in one Indian bank 3 yrs back on my Passport basis & having ATM too.
    Do I need Adhar Card to use my ATM or not.Plz clarify me .Thank you
