About University

JU was formerly known as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC) in 1990. And it was established by the JGI Group. The status of a ‘Deemed-to-be-University’ was granted in 2009 and then the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded it with grade ‘A’ status in 2017. Also, JU was ranked at 85 by NIRF 2020 and its Faculty of Engineering and Technology secured 117th position in India. It also has the membership of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Academic Structures

It comprises five campuses with a total of 6,791 students which are currently mentored by 667 faculty members. The campus is spread over 300 acres which house 11 student cells. All these student cells emphasize education, entrepreneurship, research, cultural and sports-related activities that ensure students’ overall development. To this date, this University has an alumni network of 15,522 students including 5,957 students who are placed every year by 400 top-notch companies in India and outside India.

Students, who are planning to enroll themselves in any of the UG/ PG/Ph.D. programs in any of regular distance learning modes must register themselves through the admission portal of the Jain Deemed-to-be University website. Applicants must have to fill all the application forms with required documents and application forms to get themselves registered. If the application is incomplete or incorrect, then the University has all the right to reject the application. For further references, applicants are advised to keep a photocopy of the printed application form.
