Kum raj bista was just another normal guy before he laid the foundation of his own garment company. Now he owns his 3 units with good business with his own brand “Juji ”
Kum raj had never dreamed of a big business firm when he first came to Bangalore. He was just at his late teenage when he was in Bangalore. He said, he was overwhelmingly surprised and happy when he got the bicycle as a gift from his father. A young guy, from a remote village of Bhajhang, he had no bigger dream than a normal youth. He begun his career as a normal sales employee in Bangalore and worked from nearly 1 and half years and later begun his own business with small shops.
He worked with his shop on cosmetics, he worked as workshop owner and later switched to garment washing and dying 8 years back. Since then he never turned back.
Since, he jumped into the business of dying and washing, he realized the potential of the business. His journey from Kudlu village, Singsandra, now established his own units in Electronic city. Despite his initial struggle, later he started getting plenty of orders from good brands and able to set his good profile in same business. He worked with all major International brands as third party contractor.
Currently, he owns his own house, where he is able to accommodate more than two dozen of his family and relatives. He believes his joint family is the real strength to grow in business. He always prefers Nepalese especially from his own district and helping the Nepali community to grow in Bangalore as well.
Now at his late thirties, he still doesn’t have bigger dreams. He just doing quite well and learning lot more. When we met him, he was in his simple attire and with his simple gesture, he treated really well.
He assured that, he will continue to serve Nepali community in Bangalore.
Recently he came with his own brand in garment, called Juji, which currently makes Shirts and Jeans. When we asked why you started separate brand, even if you were earning well with third party contract, and his response was, “Afno bhaneko afnai ho”. And he assured the quality of his garments as good as international brands.
Why “Juji”? There is no big story, its just his village name from Bhajhang, which he misses a lot.
He offers special discounts for Nepalese in Bangalore as compliments.
